TROVE
Disorder Gallery presents
D/O.29 'Trove'
a group exhibition from artists...
Helen C-M - Emily Isabel Taylor - CrazyEyes
Helen C-M takes us on her evolving journey of colour and abstraction using the simple floral landscapes of Little Riley Street, in Surry Hills. What emerges as each work resolves itself is an honest and often raw exchange between the local environment and the artist herself.
Sydney based visual artist Emily Isabel Taylor brings us 'Supreme'. Her work raises questions around the limits of photography outside of its traditional margins investigating the possibilities that pictorial matter can obtain through reproduction and recombination, opening the medium up to new forms of hybridization such as installation, collage and video.
Working through the trash, CrazyEyes uses the relationships of colour and shape to create vibrant and uplifting human stories, reminding us that beauty is simply a matter of perspective.‘Trash is Treasure’ is a light-hearted look at what is often discarded, neglected, left behind and the fine line between ‘forgotten’ and ‘fabulous’. This is their first exhibition.
Please join us for opening night of ‘Trove’ on Thursday May 16th from 6-8pm.
D/O.29 'Trove' will be on display through June 1st at Disoder Gallery
