Sydney based artist Hugh Drake has been an art practitioner and art teacher since the 1970s, having taught locally and internationally. Travel continues to influence his artworks process and direction.

His current interests lie in painting and using various media to express his fascination with the physical phenomena that occur in our natural environment, particularly in oceanscapes, which he portrays as abstract aerial views.

Spirit Journey enncompasses this direction over several years of inspiration from the various landscapes he encounters in Australia's amazing ocean vistas, beaches, and sandstone rock faces.
